The mission of the NW Sleep Breathing Clinic is to identify those who should mitigate both short and long-term risks and effects of untreated, Sleep Related Breathing Disorders.
One-third of the population today meets the assessment criteria for obstructive sleep apnea. The related sleep deprivation from this disorder is a significant public health issue. Most patients seeking help for this disorder have significant quality of life issues associated with it. We recognize the professional rewards associated with resolving these issues to vastly improve the quality of life and longevity for our patients.
Our clinic brings over 40 years of clinical experience helping people stop snoring and effectively manage their sleep apnea. We also offer medical insurance management, including Medicare. You get the care you need with added peace of mind.
We work in concert with board certified sleep apnea physicians to be certain that all tools for the management of the patients’ airways are fully available, utilizing a treatment philosophy that emphasizes the jaw position, through the night, is optimal for expansion of the caliber of the airway. We use objective measures to prove that the treatment is optimal. This is analogous to the ABC’s of CPR. The jaw must be held forward before air is blown into the mouth. We think of CPAP only as an additional therapy if the oral appliance by itself is insufficient. For most patients, the oral appliance by itself can reveal itself to be appropriate therapy. We are prepared for the full spectrum of severity of these disorders
